The scenes where I’m panting in Ghoomketu are real because of my asthma: Anurag Kashyap
Anurag Kashyap and Nawazuddin Siddiqui have shared a director-actor relationship in a number of films, including Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012) and Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016). But they co-stars in Pushpendra Nath Misras Ghoomketu.
Kashyap walks past the film’s trailer and plays a cop. After the Sonakshi Sinha star Akira (2016), Kashyap plays a police officer for the second time. “Everyone is asking me to play a cop,” joked Kashyap at the start of Ghoomketu’s online trailer.
He explained how he was cast in the film and said, “I agreed because of Pushis [Pushpendra Nath Misra] Narrative. Otherwise I always run away from acting. I did what he asked me to do. I just follow my director. ”
As we know, Kashyap is asthmatic. He revealed that his asthma also played a role in the film. “He [Misra] let me run a lot. At the time, I weighed 10 pounds more. And I have asthma. He used my asthma in every way. The scenes where I’m panting or breathless are real. I didn’t play in them, ”said Kashyap.
In Ghoomketu, Siddiqui plays the central character of a struggling screenwriter trying to make it big in Mumbai. The film will be released on May 22nd on the Zee5 OTT platform.
