PHOTOS: Creations Shop Exterior Painting Begins, Communicore Facade Restored on Breezeway at EPCOT

The exterior painting in the Creations Shop has started. The retail location comes to the former home of Mouse Gear this summer. Imagineer Zach Riddley gave a little taste of the paint colors just two days ago. A new facade was also erected above the wind tunnel.

Teams of painters use small rollers to paint the joints between the facade panels.

The current light purple color is covered.

This section has been completely deleted. It definitely reminds us of what buildings looked like many years ago, long before the “patchwork” paint scheme of the 2000s.

A scaffold surrounds the structure so that the painters can reach all areas.

The popcorn kiosk for the upcoming World Celebration is right in front of the construction site.

The Breezeway facade fits perfectly into the existing roof line and gives it back its appearance before the innovations.
