Painting with a Twist’s Parent Company Acquires Color Me Mine and Chesapeake Ceramics
NEW ORLEANS, November 9, 2020 / PRNewswire / – The parent company of Painting with a Twist, America’s original and largest paint-and-sip franchise brand, has acquired Color Me Mine, the industry leader in self-painted ceramics, and Chesapeake Ceramics, a world-leading ceramic supplier. Twist Brands LLC was established as the holding company for all three companies. The move is intended to cement Twist Brands as the dominant leader in the growing Arts & Crafts as an entertainment industry within the franchise industry and ensure a stable supply chain for the studios operating within these brands.
Color Me Mine with 140 units operates as a separate brand concept and continues to focus on ceramics and pottery. The Painting with a Twist team will help support the brand’s infrastructure and growth in the future. In Color Me Mine, the franchise space has recently expanded organically, with existing owners becoming multi-unit franchisees and new studios.
Chesapeake Ceramics is one of the world’s leading providers of proprietary pottery studios, ceramic product dealers, and school arts programs with distribution centers in Fresno, CA. and Baltimore, MD. It operated on Baltimore, MD for more than 40 years. Chesapeake Ceramics currently sells ceramic supplies to thousands of companies and art programs across the country. The acquisition adds the Duncan Oh Four® line of proprietary biscuit designs, with 75 national and international distributors as customers.

Co-founder and CEO of Bottle & Bottega Nancy Bigley joined Painting as Chief Operating Officer with a leadership team from Twist.
