LeBron Showed Off An Incredible Kobe Bryant And Nipsey Hussle Painting
In 2020, in Los Angeles, two of his icons, one from sports and one from music, were stolen from far too young when the deaths of Kobe Bryant and Nipsey Hussle rocked the city and beyond. For many, these two have been inspirations, not only for what they have done as athletes and artists, but also for the work they have put into getting there and how they have shared their gifts with the community.
LeBron James, like many in the NBA, was hit hard by both losses, and he was vocal about the influence of both men on him. Bryant and LeBron were first competitors and later friends, with James taking over the cloak as the top star of the Lakers and relying on Bryant, while Hussle’s work as an artist and activist also had a lasting influence on James. On Wednesday night, James posted on Instagram to show off a new painting at his home of Kobe and Nipsey and said they would “walk with me every day as I walk my aisles”.
It’s a pretty great piece made by Lindsay Dawn Studios, and it’s clear how much James has been influenced by both men who wanted to make sure they carry on their legacy as he heads out to an LA himself -Become a legend.
