Expert exterior painting tips | Newshub
Resene’s consultant Murdo Shaw speaks to Magic Talk host Roman Travers and says the first thing to do when painting the exterior of your home is prep the area.
This can be achieved by first scraping off any old coats of paint from your weatherboards and then sanding them down so they’re smooth before applying a good primer.
Once the prep is complete, Resdo says Resene’s Lumbersider is a good paint for your topcoat – a low-gloss acrylic resin that will ensure your paint will last in all weather conditions.
Murdo also says preparation is key when it comes to getting a good, smooth exterior paint job.
