Erin and Ben Napier’s Daughter Shows off Adorable Painting for Her Aunt and Uncle
Hometown stars Erin Napier and husband Ben Napier have a budding artist up their sleeves. Her 3-year-old daughter Helen recently painted a pretty impressive picture commissioned by her aunt and uncle Jesse and Lauren. Napier shared her daughter’s creation on Instagram over the weekend.
Napier shared a photo of her daughter holding up the precious painting, artistically smeared with reds and blacks on canvas, and said Helen’s “latest work” was “commissioned by Uncle Jesse and Aunt Lauren.” The painting certainly seemed to impress hometown fans, who even called Helen a little “Picasso,” who is just as “talented” as her mother. Fans said the painting was “a masterpiece,” some even hoping to hang one of Helen’s creations on the walls in their own four walls, asking, “Does she accept commissions?”
This is far from the first time the Napiers have shown their daughter’s interest in art. In October, Napier shared a photo of the toddler sitting on the floor with a color palette and some paper on it. With fans calling her a “future artist”, Helen stained the paper with streaks of blue, black, red and purple and impressed fans by getting no color on herself or the floor. In mid-November, Ben shared a photo of Helen coloring a drawing of a house at his own expense. He quipped that “Mom isn’t the only one who likes to paint houses.”
Napier and her husband welcomed Helen in January 2018. Ben announced this summer that he was building a coffee table for his wife using “a heart pine from our house” around the same time their family of two was becoming a family of three and some white oak that was left of our firstborn’s crib. “He said his wife” asked for a big, pretty coffee table and it turned into a lot more “because it has become a central part of her daily life and Ben has put his coffee table on it every morning and her daughter uses it “as a snack / handicraft table”.
In all of the photos the couple shared of their daughter, many fans have noticed that little Helen’s face is not visible and the toddler is often turned away from the camera. The couple have tried to protect their daughter from the spotlight they recently experienced when Napier was forced to delete Helen’s photo after receiving negative and “cruel” comments about her. Napier said she removed the photo “to be a good steward of my baby’s picture and protector of my heart.”
Fans can catch up with Napier and her husband on the next season of Home Town, the HGTV series they host. Season 5 premieres on Sunday, January 3 at 8 p.m. ET. A new spin-off, Home Town: Ben’s Workshop, will also debut on January 4th on the Discovery + streaming service.
