It’s been a busy 2020 for the crews involved in painting lines on the Saskatchewan freeways.

The Provincial Highway Department reported that they exceeded their annual goals with nearly 13,000 miles centerlines and over 30,000 miles on sidelines on Saskatchewan’s highways. The crews also painted more than 35,000 street signs, including arrows, averages, level crossings, bridge markings and zebra crossings.

The entire company used more than 1.2 million liters of paint.

“Sidewalk marking is an important part of our government’s safety strategy,” said Highways Secretary Fred Bradshaw in a written press release. “I recommend the Autobahn team for their commitment to keeping the roads safe for our citizens.”
