Basquiat Painting, Jewelry Stolen From Kurtistown Home

(BIVN) – The theft of an oil slick painting by the famous artist Jean-Michel Basquiat from a Puna house and the removal of various pieces of jewelry are being investigated by the police.

The items were removed from an apartment building on 40th Avenue in Kurtistown on October 14, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information about the theft to contact Detective Jeremy Kubojiri of the Area I Criminal Investigation Department at (808) 961-2378, email [email protected], or the non-emergency number the police at (808)) 935-3311.
