Abstract painting class held at Southside Junction Tap House

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – After a year of no creative events, the Southside Junction Tap House was finally able to host wild and wonderful painting parties and classes again.

The Sunday class was an abstract painting lesson for beginners where people who signed up for the class learned how to paint a basic abstract work of art while enjoying the beer and food selection at the tap house. And everyone seemed happy to be able to paint together safely again.

“Last year everyone was in front of screens more than ever in our lives, and I think this is important in bringing people back together through art, music, culture and, ultimately, a safe distance back together, something that is fun,” says Kelly LaCava, owner of Wild and Wonderful Paint Parties. “It’s a bit of a relief.”

If you’d like to take another step-by-step painting class, visit the Taphouse’s Facebook page to learn more about it and when the next one is due.
